Description:
A fast and lively piece for solo piano. The whole piece is composed of a single theme which is prominently presented in the opening. As the piece progresses the main theme becomes fragmented, altered, and set juxtaposed under new contrasting textures. In the middle section specifically the theme is set in an almost fugal manner, where its components interact with one another within a more contrapuntal texture.
In 2016 I rewrote this piece, orchestrating and reinterpreting it to become a large wind ensemble work by the same name.
