Description:

In a duet for two Violins; Valse pour Deux captures my balletic side to composition. Three Waltz-like themes prance in and out of each other in a juxtaposed, developmental fashion. The listener is placed in a world of Viennese classicism, however with a quirky twist: wrong notes are scattered everywhere, asymmetrical meter changes disrupt the predictable lilt, and extended techniques presented in the most grandiose of fashion. A humorous quality is present throughout the piece as the listener is taken through a journey of which two violins battle for their dominance.
