One of my first pieces written for piano; Textures was premiered by pianist Sophia Yan in 2011 in the Composers' Voice Fifteen Minutes' of Fame festival for young composers under the age of 15 at the Jan Hus Church in New York. It was required that the piece could not exceed over a minute in length.
