Country Fly Over tries to recapture and portray the experience of flying in a plane through music. The instruments recreate the sounds often heard during flight and at times depict the surrounding landscape. The piece concludes with the aircraft fading away; flying off into the distant sun.

This piece was written for and premiered by players of the Victoria Symphony as part of the annual VsNew young composers workshop.
